The Barrier-Free mark

Is it OK...

The Barrier-Free trademark logo was registered with the Industrial Property Office in 2006 by KAZUIST, spol. s r.o., Třinec. Barrier-Free is a certified mark awarded to barrier-free facilities providing accommodation and catering services. A facility identified by the Barrier-Free mark is suitable for people with locomotive, visual and/or hearing disabilities in terms of services provided.

Why apply for it?

  1. Extending the range of clients
Disabled people can extend your current range of clients. They are steady customers, preferring to travel in groups. They also represent a large group of people – approximately 10 % of the population.
  2. Promotion
The mark and therefore its holders will be promoted among organisations associating the disabled, at promotional tourism events, on the www.jedemetaky.cz website, etc.
  3. Liability towards the surroundings (image)
The mark shows that its holder also thinks of those who have a more complicated life for objective reasons.
  4. To be among the first ones
The mark is in its early days and its holders have the opportunity to establish a leading position among tourism service providers for the disabled.
  5. Free of charge
The project was co-financed from the European Social Fund and from the state budget of the Czech Republic, since September 2008 it is supported by Moravian-Silesian region and therefore it is still free of charge for you.

How to obtain it?

You can be awarded the mark after completing the certification process if your facility complies with the defined barrier-free criteria. You will learn what the certification criteria are and how to proceed if you are interested in getting certified in the How to get certified section.
