15.12.2008 - Barrier free even on the sea

On the 4th of December, Europena Commision adopted two proposals for regulations on the rights of bus and maritime passengers. Both proposals include specific rights for passengers with disabilities, which will allow them to enjoy similar rights as air and rail passengers have. They should also be better informed of their rights.
The proposals include requirements to provide free of charge assistanace to persons with disabilities on bus or passenger ship as well as in ports and terminals.
